More bad weather ahead today
MetService is reporting that a front is forecast to move northeast to cross Auckland and Northland around the middle of the day today (Monday). A few heavy showers are expected with this front, possibly with small hail. Additionally, there is a low risk one or two thunderstorms accompanying the front western coasts of Auckland and Northland from late morning.

ELECTRICITY
Vector crews were kept busy with 11 car v asset incidents during the week, nine of them occurring during the weekend in Mangere, Mt Wellington, Sunnyvale (2), Puhinui, St Lukes Rd, Dominion Road, Mission Bay and Mt Albert. The Mt Wellington incident saw the large concrete pole almost sheared off at the base. It took crews most of the day to replace the pole and repair the lines.
GAS
Contractors struck a gas pipe while working in Wiri Station Road on Friday. Vector crews responded quickly to repair.
