Detours in place for TEL works
Short detours will be in place at the State Highway 2 (SH2)/ Domain Rd interchange in Tauranga this Sunday July 20.
Contractors are working on the new bridge over the existing highway as part of the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) project.
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists to expect short delays between the hours of 7pm on Sunday and 6am Monday, while the work is completed.
Te Puke bound traffic will be diverted at the Domain Road/SH2 intersection via Tara Road, Parton Road and Bell Road.
Traffic from Te Puke or Welcome Bay Road will be diverted via the west bound slip lane onto a temporary intersection and will travel back onto SH2 at the Domain Road/ Tara Road roundabout.
Motorists are advised to drive with care whilst this traffic management is in place.
The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and on-going co-operation while construction on the TEL project continues.
