Traffic update – week of 23 June, 2014
Central City
Expect delays at peak hours on or near these city streets
• From Monday, Colombo St will be closed to through traffic at the Tuam St intersection.
• Madras St (one-way north) is down to one lane in several places up to Bealey Ave.
• Tuam St remains closed to traffic between Colombo St and Manchester St.
• Barbadoes St (one-way south) is down to a single lane in places between Bealey Ave and Moorhouse Ave.
• Durham St North is down to a single lane between Salisbury St and Tuam St.
Bealey Ave/Madras St intersection
Bealey Ave stays reduced to two lanes east and westbound past Madras St during the day and down to one lane at night.
St Asaph St and Montreal St
St Asaph St is still reduced to one lane at the Montreal St intersection. Two lanes of traffic flow will be maintained
on Montreal St, with speed restrictions in place.
Tips
Use the four avenues for cross-town journeys - go around rather than through.
Fitzgerald Ave is a reliable route for north and southbound journeys.

Work outside the Four Aves
Main Road – Redcliffs
Work begins on Monday to install a new wastewater pressure main on Main Road, between McCormacks Bay Road and the
Redcliffs Moa Cave. The first stage of work will reduce Main Road to one lane city-bound only, with Sumner-bound road
users detoured along Beachville Road.
Anzac Drive and Bexley Road roundabout – Bexley
The approaches to the Anzac Dr/Bexley Rd roundabout will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday and Wednesday next week while
road sealing work takes place.
Wilsons Road – Waltham
Wilsons Rd, between Centaurus Rd roundabout and Koromiko St, has reopened to two-way traffic. Thank you for your
