Celebrating Volunteering
Celebrating Volunteering
National Volunteer Week
(15-21 June) will be marked in Christchurch with a full day
celebration of volunteering on Wednesday 18 June, in the
Civic Offices, Worcester Boulevard.
The day will start at 10am with the presentation by the Mayor, Hon. Lianne Dalziel, of Volunteer Recognition Awards. Twenty individuals and groups who have made amazing contributions to our community will be honoured, and there will be some surprises among them.
From 11.30am until 4.30pm there will be a programme of speakers addressing various aspects of volunteering (see attached), as well as interactive displays from a variety of local organisations which involve volunteers.
