Best of the Best Poll 2014
Mainstreet Wanganui seeks help to find best CBD businesses
You must have them – a hairdresser or barber you have a special relationship with who cuts your hair better than anyone else, a bar person who remembers your name and your favourite drink, a barista who makes your coffee just the way you like it on a cold winter’s morning. Then there are the shops you love to visit that are always helpful and go the extra mile to help you find what you want and let’s not forget the restaurant that always cooks great meals and has atmosphere in spades. If you already have names and faces coming to mind then Mainstreet Wanganui needs your help! They are launching their annual ‘Best of the Best Poll’ on Saturday 7 June and urge all fans of good customer service to reward the businesses they love the most by voting for them online or collecting a hard copy poll sheet from participating businesses within the CBD. This will be the fourth year Mainstreet has run the poll and each year the number of people completing it has increased.
“We started the poll because often it is bad customer service that sticks in our minds while we take good service for granted. This poll makes you stop and think about the good service you have received and is wonderful feedback for businesses to receive,” says Mainstreet Marketing Manager Elise Goodge.
The poll has 28 categories in all and you can complete as many or as few categories as you like. They vary from categories such as best barista and best dressed to best bank and best bar and cover all types of retail and hospitality businesses.
“Last year we had close to 280 people participate in the poll, this year we would like to crack 300,” Elise continues.
The poll opens for voting on Saturday 7 June and closes on Sunday 22 June so you’ll have two weeks to get your votes in. The poll is available on-line at mainstreetwanganui.co.nz. Winners of each category will be announced at the Mainstreet Service Awards on Friday 27 June.
