Serious Crash Near Auckland Airport

Puhinui Road in Manukau is currently blocked in both directions by a serious truck v car crash.
Traffic currently on Puhinui Road is at a standstill, and Police have closed the Puhinui Motorway interchange.
Traffic trying to access the airport via Puhinui road is being redirected via George Bolt Drive.
It is understood a car and a truck and trailer unit are involved, and one person was reported trapped.
Police, Fire, Ambulance and Airport Crash/Fire staff are at the scene an dthe serious crash unit will be investigating.
At this stage there is no indication of how long it will take to clear the road and people heading for the airport should consider alternative routes.
