Free Seminar on 2013 Census Results
Anyone wanting to learn more about Ruapehu communities and the how we are changing can attend a free seminar by Statistics NZ on the 2013 Census results.
The free seminar is being held in the Ruapehu District Council (RDC) chambers in Taumarunui on Wednesday 4th June starting at 2.00pm.
RDC Group Manager Policy, Pauline Welch, said that Census data provides a rich source of information about what’s happening at a local and national level with our population and how it’s changing.
“The seminar will be of real interest to a wide range of organisations and businesses as well as anyone just interested in the future of the Ruapehu district,” she said.
“Along with local and central government, businesses, community organisations, Iwi, investors, and others use Census data to make decisions about Ruapehu and their activities here.”
“The data in the Census can drive key policy decisions that often affect everyone in the district.”
“It will be a very interesting afternoon and everyone is welcome to attend.”
