State Highway 2 on-ramp from Route K to be closed for road works this coming Sunday, Sunday night and Monday night
Motorists are advised that the State Highway 2 (SH2) on-ramp from the Route K overbridge to Takitimu Drive will be closed to traffic heading from the Route K Toll road towards Mt Maunganui or the City Centre, to allow for major road resurfacing works.
Traffic on the Route K Toll Road heading towards Mt Maunganui or the City Centre will be diverted via 15th Avenue, Cameron Road and Elizabeth Street to join up with SH2, says the NZ Transport Agency.
The works will take place during the day on Sunday 11 May between 10.30am and 6.00pm, and night works on Sunday 11 May and Monday 12 May between 6pm and 6am.
This work is highly weather dependent and if wet, the work will be undertaken on the next suitable day.
Motorists are advised to drive with care and to expect delays whilst this traffic management is in place. The Transport Agency wishes to thank drivers for their patience and Tauranga City Council for their cooperation, while these works are being done.
To find out more about these works please go to http://www.nzta.govt.nz/traffic/current-conditions/highway-info/road/7873/north-island.html or phone the Transport Agency's 0800 4 HIGHWAYS.
