Ngātiwai and Patu Harakeke want talks with Mighty River Power to continue
The Ngātiwai Trust Board joins with Patu Harakeke in calling for continued dialogue over the sale of land at Marsden Point in Ruakaka which is now surplus to requirements for Mighty River Power.
Patu Harakeke and the Ngātiwai Trust Board have been in talks with Mighty River Power for some time now, and there are on-going discussions with all parties concerned.
These discussions have included options of land banking and Treaty of Waitangi Settlements that are available through the use of surplus government land.
The Crown is the major shareholder of the land which has now been listed for sale currently on a real estate agency’s international property website.
