Leave the driving to the experts - take public transport to the ITM 500 Auckland V8 Supercars

The ITM 500 Auckland V8 Supercars returns to Pukekohe Park Raceway this Anzac weekend, and once again pre-purchased ticket holders can travel by train or Northern Express bus to the event on all four days.

Pukekohe is approximately 40 minutes south of the Auckland CBD, so public transport is a good option. All you need do is show that day’s event ticket.

We recommend motor racing fans have a travel plan whether for the bus, train or car and travel early. Leave plenty of time to get to the raceway and to enjoy the entertainment along the fan trail.

Travel by bus:

There will be Northern Express buses for those travelling from the North Shore. These buses will operate along the Northern Busway departing from Albany around every 15 minutes from 5.30am to 9.30am each day during the event.

Buses will stop at all stations along the Northern Busway then at Britomart where passengers can easily change to a train to Pukekohe.

Customers using the Northern Express event buses must show their event ticket to the driver upon boarding. Please retain your ticket for the ride home.

Regular fares apply on normal scheduled bus services across the network.

Travel by train:

Ticket holders can also travel on Auckland’s rail network to and from the event on presentation of their event ticket.

Trains will operate every 15 minutes along the Southern Line with additional trains running to the Pukekohe Rail Station.

For public transport users that require assistance to the Pukekohe Park Raceway, a mobility shuttle will operate between the Pukekohe train station and the raceway.

Train services will be busy so plan ahead. Please retain your ticket for the ride home.

Travel by car:

To reduce congestion for people driving to the event please consider the following recommendations:

If you are driving to the venue from south of Pukekohe please use the Ramarama (exit 466) and Drury (exit 461) off-ramps.

If you are travelling from the north please use the Bombay (exit 471, Mill Rd) off-ramp.

If you are travelling by car, be aware that parking is not available at the venue.

Public parking is available in the surrounding areas.

Plan Your Journey:

Roads are expected to be busy so travel early. On the Sunday be prepared for extra traffic on SH1 as holidaymakers return after the long weekend.
