SCIRT traffic update for week starting 7 April, 2014 and weekend 4-7 April

Central city
Montreal/ Victoria St: Montreal one lane north from 7 April
SCIRT work in the Montreal/Victoria/ Salisbury intersection, at the Clock Tower, will create significant delays for the next month.

• Both Montreal Street and Salisbury Street will be reduced to one lane at this intersection.

• Drivers need to allow extra time, especially at peak times or find an alternate northbound route like Fitzgerald Ave.

• This is some of the final wastewater connections in this part of the central city, started 15 months ago by SCIRT’s Fletcher team. Thanks to everyone who has made the effort and continues to make the effort to get to their local retailers/ cafes.

Outside the Four Avenues
One-way for McCormacks Bay
McCormacks Bay Road will be one-way, for east bound traffic only (towards Redcliffs) from Monday, 7 April for about a year. This one-way system will be in place as two SCIRT Fulton Hogan crews start on separate wastewater pipes at either end of this road with more crews coming on stream at different stages.
Local businesses/ Mt Pleasant Farmers Market
On Saturday mornings, the work site will be minimised as much as possible for the Mt Pleasant Farmers Market. The temporary parking set up on the McCormacks Bay Reserve for the causeway work will be available for market goers. Access to the Soleares Ave shops will be via the one-way system on McCormacks Bay Road.

Read the work notice and check the maps for time frames.
