Motuihe wharf temporary closure for repairs
Department of Conservation has temporarily closed the wharf servicing Motuihe island in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, to survey and repair damage caused during recent storms.
DOC has engaged engineers to assess storm damage caused to wharf decking.
DOC’s Auckland Conservation Services Manager Jonathan Miles says all public landings have been put on hold and the wharf will be closed until it has been further assessed, repaired and deemed safe for the public.
