SCIRT TRAFFIC UPDATE 21 March, 2014
Central city changes
Colombo St, south side of the Square
From Tuesday, 25 March, Colombo St will be southbound only from Lichfield to St Asaph Streets. Drivers heading north will be detoured along St Asaph St.
Manchester St at Bealey Ave
From Friday, 21 March to late April, road closure on Manchester St just north of the Bealey Ave intersection. Drivers will not be able to turn into Manchester off Bealey Ave or exit onto Bealey via Manchester.
Manchester St south side of the Square
Southbound only (ie towards the Port Hills) between Tuam and St Asaph Streets. Northbound detour along Welles and Colombo.
Tuam St
Currently Tuam St between Durham St South and Fitzgerald Ave is one-way eastbound only, however between Manchester and Madras St there are two lanes.
Moorhouse Ave on overbridge - one lane only
The Moorhouse Ave overbridge, between Colombo and Manchester, will be reduced to one lane eastbound for a week from Monday 24 March.
Improvements
Armagh Street - between Manchester and Madras St – reopened two ways.
St Asaph Street - between Manchester and Colombo St – reopened lanes west bound.
RECOMMENDED ROUTES:
• North - Montreal St
• North and south - Fitzgerald Avenue
• East and west - Bealey Ave and Moorhouse Avenue
• Leaving the CBD – Hereford St to the east/ Fitzgerald Ave

Outside the Four Aves
Brougham St at Colombo St – weekend work
From Friday evening to 6am Monday, Brougham St, Sydenham, will be down to one lane eastbound at Colombo St. If you are going east, take a different route, or allow more time. More weekend work is coming up on Brougham St.

Burwood Road closed outside Waitakiri School
Burwood Road is closed to traffic either side of Waitakiri School for two months. The detours run west along QEII Drive to Marshland Road and Mairehau Road or east along Travis Road to Frosts Road/ Mairehau Road. Metro bus 146 Marshland will be detoured.
Bexley Road reopening, part of Anzac Drive closing
SCIRT team City Care’s next stage of this work is on Anzac Drive from Pages to Wainoni Roads. The road will be closed 7 am to 7 pm until late June with a detour along Pages, Breezes and Wainoni Roads. Heavy vehicles will be escorted through the work site. Bexley Road from Pages Road to the Bridge St/ Breezes Road roundabout will reopen, rebuilt and with storm water repairs completed.
