Rebuild & Renovate Christchurch Home Show Cancelled
The Rebuild & Renovate Christchurch Home Show has been cancelled due to a fire at the CBS Canterbury Arena in Addington.
The early morning fire took an hour to put out and has resulted in extensive damage to the event through smoke and water damage. Exhibitors have been taken to the nearby Westpac Hub where they’re awaiting a briefing. It is not expected that they’ll be able to get back in to recover their products and display items today.
The Rebuild & Renovate Christchurch Home Show featured more than 150 exhibitors and was due to run from Friday to Sunday 16 March. Exhibitors included suppliers of kitchens, bathrooms, interiors, building materials and home technology.
Rebuild and Renovate Christchurch Home Show is organised by Exhibitions and Events New Zealand. EENZ and EEA (Exhibitions and Events Australia Pty Ltd), a company that produces ten home and building shows across both countries.
