Nominations for Hutt City Civic Awards open
Nominations for Hutt City Civic Awards are now open. Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace is encouraging people to acknowledge those dedicated to volunteer service by nominating them for a Hutt City Civic Award or Youth Service Award.
"We have a wealth of people in our city who give their time selflessly to help others and our Civic Awards are about recognising the outstanding work they do."
"The awards, in their 38th year, are a fantastic opportunity to say thank you to our long-term community volunteers."
There are six Hutt City Civic Award categories: community services, cultural affairs, educational services, recreation, social services and youth activities.
Nomination forms are available online at www.huttcity.govt.nz/civicawards or from council's building and Hutt City libraries.
Nominations close 5pm, Friday 6 June.
