Curator’s talk this weekend
Please join us this Sunday to hear Te Papa curators Sarah Farrar and Megan Tamati-Quennell talk about our current show Meridian Lines/Nga Ahapau:
Contemporary Art from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Meridian Lines was curated for the re-opening of the China Art Museum in Shanghai last year where it was seen by half a million visitors.
It features major works by renowned New Zealand artists Bill Hammond, Ralph Hotere, Ani O’Neill, Michael Parekowhai, John Pule, Yuk King Tan and Gordon Walters. Sarah and Megan will talk about the works on display here at Pataka and give some insight into their selection process.
It promises to be a fascinating chance to get up close and personal with key pieces of contemporary New Zealand art from our national museum.
Sunday 9 March, 2pm at Pataka. All welcome, free entry.
