Buses will get you to Pasifika or to the starting line this weekend
This weekend you can use buses to get to the two big events in Auckland, Pasifika and the Ports of Auckland Round the
Bays.

Pasifika, Western Springs for 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday
Bus:
To get to Pasifika, there are plenty of options for catching buses which travel via Great North Road to Western Springs
from Britomart stop 7041 on Queen St and stop 7070 on Lower Albert St.
From Henderson and New Lynn, jump on any city bound service starting with a 0** or a 1** . These buses will pass Western
Springs on their way to Britomart.
There will be additional return services between New Lynn and Britomart from 9.15 to 4.45.
Normal fares apply on all services.
Cycle to Pasifika:
If you’re cycling to the event, a free valet bicycle parking service is being provided by Auckland Transport. This will
be located on Stadium Road, next to the Samoa Village. Click here for a map.
Train:
On Saturday and Sunday rail bus replacement services will operate to and from the city. From the city you can easily
connect to a bus heading towards Western Springs from bus stop 7041 on Queen Street. No scheduled train services will be
operating on the network this weekend to enable the completion of key activities prior to the introduction of the new
electric trains at the end of April.
Ports of Auckland Round the Bays, Sunday 9.30am
If you're looking to take public transport to Round the Bays, plan your travel in advance and allow extra time.
In addition to scheduled Sunday services, NZ Bus will run a shuttle service along Tamaki Drive to St Heliers. The cost
is $5 per person each way.
To avoid queues and delays on event day, pre-purchase your tickets from the Event Expo, Auckland Rooms 1 & 2, SKYCITY, on Friday or Saturday.
Before the run, buses will start at 7am and the last bus will depart no later than 8.30am. The buses will pick up from
the finish line and the corner of Sage Rd and Tamaki Drive from 10.30am to 2.30pm and travel to Mahuhu Cres in the city
outside Vector Arena. From 2.30pm normal scheduled services will resume.
Please note there is limited space for prams and trundlers on the buses. You will be asked to fold up your pram or
trundler to provide space on the bus.
These services are operated by NZ Bus in conjunction with the event organiser.
Due to the run, there will be some diversions for regular scheduled bus services and bus stop locations. Rail
replacement buses for the Southern, Eastern, Manukau and Onehunga lines will depart from stop 7020, on the corner of
Commerce and Customs St East. All Western line buses will depart from the temporary stop on Customs St East between Gore
St and Britomart. We will have people to help direct customers.
Rail closure this weekend Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March
Please note rail services will be replaced by rail buses this weekend. The closure this weekend is to enable the
completion of key activities prior to the introduction of the new trains at the end of April.
