Little Ambulances Missing in Action
Wellington Free Ambulance is asking for everyone to be on the lookout for some little ambulances missing in action.
One hundred small ambulance donation boxes were put out into the community about five years ago but some have not made the return journey.
“We know that people in Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa are very generous. Sometime ago Wellington Free Ambulance put special ambulance donation boxes onto a number of business counters to raise money, but sadly a few have not come back,” says Wellington Free Ambulance CE Diana Crossan.
“As we are a not for profit organisation we rely heavily on financial help from the public.
“The people in Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa are very fortunate; they have a locally owned and operated ambulance service unlike the rest of the country which is served by one big provider. WFA would really appreciate it if people could keep an eye out for these little ambulances and contact us with the whereabouts if they spot one,” says Ms Crossan.
