Lopdell House to reopen this Saturday
The $20million redevelopment of the Lopdell Precinct in Titirangi is near to completion and will re-open this Saturday 1 March.
The public will be welcomed inside at 10am, after a formal blessing of the building for invited guests.
The project is a milestone achievement for the Waitakere Ranges, as it marks the beginning of a new arts core for the area.
“The opening will be a great day for the local community and will put a stamp on Titirangi as the arts hub of our area,” says Waitakere Ranges Local Board chair Sandra Coney.
The two-year Lopdell Precinct redevelopment is funded by the Lopdell House Development Trust, Auckland Council, ASB Community Trust and the Trusts Community Foundation.
The reopening of the heritage building will be followed mid-year by the unveiling of the modern arts gallery being constructed next-door.
