Get your Auckland Blues travel plan into gear
The Auckland Blues take on the Canterbury Crusaders at Eden Park this Friday 28 February. Kick-off is 7.35pm.
Being the first home game of the season, it’s a good time for rugby fans to get in the habit of planning how to get to
and from the stadium.
Travel by train or special event bus to all home games at Eden Park or North Harbour Stadium is included with a game
ticket. All you need to do is show your match ticket for your ride to and from the game.
With the match being played on a Friday evening, there could be delays as people head home from work and to Eden Park.
Regular train commuters should try to travel early on Friday to beat the rush as fans head to the park.
We recommend for each home game, you make a travel plan and head off early. For more information on buses and trains, go

On the train to Eden Park:
Included travel on trains starts three hours before kick-off and finishes when services end that evening. All trains
will stop and depart from Kingsland Station.
Trains depart Britomart for Eden Park approximately every 15 minutes after 4.30pm. Additional trains will operate before
and after the match.
On the bus to Eden Park:
Special event buses to Eden Park will run approximately every 15 minutes from Albany Station stopping at all stations
along the Northern Busway and every 15 minutes from Manukau/Pakuranga/Botany and Takapuna. Special event buses will also
run from Newmarket and Mt Eden.
Your bus drop-off point is also where the bus will leave other the game.
Regular fares will apply on other scheduled bus services.
Walking or cycling to Eden Park:
Eden Park is only 4km from the city centre and cycle racks can be found around the stadium. Due to the large number of
people travelling by train we advise cyclists not to take their bike on the train.
Driving to Eden Park:
Some roads around Eden Park will be closed or have restricted access. Only residents and their visitors will be able to
access and park in certain streets, so drivers should check they have parked correctly.
Limited mobility parking areas are available on Cricket Avenue
