PRESS RELEASE - Wellington Racing Club Announcement
After 25 years of service to the Wellington Racing Club and latterly the RACE Group, Trentham Track Manager Lyn Biddle has announced his retirement effective 28 March 2014.
Lyn will step down after overseeing the 2014 running of the Wellfield NZ Oaks Raceday.
Lyn commented “I have loved being in charge of the tracks at Trentham, and have enjoyed every minute of the past 25 years. I had been planning to retire this year and the running of the Wellfield Oaks seems an appropriate day to be my last race meeting.
I am excited that the young team at Trentham will be able to develop in the role and I will remain available for assistance when ever asked.”
RACE Chief Executive Al Robertson said “Lyn has had an amazing career with the Club in its various forms and we are very grateful for the years of service and loyalty he has shown.
I am also grateful for how Lyn has helped me personally since my arrival and I look forward to Lyn being able to help us on a casual basis during our busier times.
With Lyn’s retirement a new organisational structure will be announced in due course under Group Tracks Manager Chris Allen.”
