To celebrate Children’s Day on the first weekend of
March, Waitomo Glowworm Caves is offering free entry for
kids.
What better way to celebrate this internationally recognised day by visiting the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves that has been amazing children and adults for generations.
Kids will be wowed as they glide under a canopy of magical glowworms by boat and tour the magnificent geological wonder while expert guides share with you the rich natural and cultural history of the area.
This year marks the 125 year anniversary of guiding at the caves which have been attracting families since they were first opened to the public in 1889 by local Maori Chief Tane Tinorau.
Waitomo Glowworm Caves features stunning underground limestone formations which suspend from the ceiling and stand tall above the walkways making it one of the country’s oldest and most inspiring natural wonders.
Make it a family day out and visit this must see destination!
