Mid Sunday afternoon Taupo's greenlea rescue helicopter was called to Tongariro Alpine crossing to a 62 year old danish
woman who had fallen while hiking.
She was transported to Rotorua hospital with a suspected fracture to he elbow and a lacerated head.
