Free computer classes back at Hutt City Libraries

Hutt City Libraries’ free Stepping Up programme is back by popular demand and this time round there are more classes for absolute beginners.

The beginners’ computer classes are designed for Hutt City residents with basic, or no computer skills. People who’ve taken the course report that they feel confident on the computer now and no longer feel dumb when their kids are talking to them about things online.

Based on feedback from last year’s course the organisers are offering more ‘Computer Basics’ courses in 2014, which teach people who’ve never touched a computer.

Bookings for term one classes open on Tuesday 4 February, and classes startMonday 10 February. Stepping Up is offered at War Memorial Library, Wainuiomata Library, Naenae Library, Taita Library and Stokes Valley Library.

The free classes are a partnership between Hutt City Libraries and 2020 Communications Trust.
