Australia Day At Wellington Zoo
The Devils are here . . . and we're celebrating their arrival at Wellington Zoo this Australia Day, Sunday 26th January.
Highlights will include special Tasmanian Devil talks throughout the day, face-painting, Aussie-themed games and prizes,
stilt walkers, music, and giveaways from Classic Hits.
It'll be ripper. We hope to see you there!

These special talks and demonstrations make your visit more fun and help you learn more about the amazing animals at
Wellington Zoo – you can get up close to Rokan the Sumatran Tiger during his morning feed, meet our cheeky troop of
Chimpanzees, and even hand-feed our two beautiful Giraffes. And don't miss the brand new Tasmanian Devil talk at 1.30pm
each day!

Our popular school holiday programme is mostly sold out, but don't despair – there are still a few spots available for
budding superheroes next Thursday 30 January!
Your little ones will get to meet the 'Zooper Heroes' in Hero HQ, create their own superhero identity, and join us on

as all the animals at Wellington Zoo!

It's summer at Wellington Zoo!
On top of being the only place in the city to get up close to both exotic animals and native wildlife, the Zoo is also a
beautiful space to relax and enjoy the the beauty of nature. Nestled in the town belt, the Zoo grounds and gardens are
blooming with native plants and flowers – the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch.
There's also heaps of stuff for kids to do in between visiting the animals – the sandpit and trampoline in Neighbours in
particular are both hits these summer holidays.
