Stratford will be enjoying the sweet sounds of summer, with the annual Summer Nights concert scheduled for Friday 14
February at King Edward Park, Stratford.
The free community concert is in its fourth year and is aimed at promoting our beautiful parks and gardens, and
celebrating summer in Stratford.
“We encourage families to bring a picnic dinner, and enjoy the evening,” says Community Development Manager, Kate
Whareaitu, “It’s also Valentine’s Day so why not bring your loved one down for a Valentine’s Day treat.”
Nine piece reggae band, Soulovus, are guaranteed to have the crowd up and dancing, performing a mix of covers and
originals. Local artists will open the show from 6.30pm.
Rain or shine, the concert will go ahead. If wet, the concert will be moved to the War Memorial Centre on Miranda
Street.
Entrance to the concert is through the Malone Gates on Fenton Street. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Soulovus is Taranaki’s latest reggae band. Their rich harmonies, fused together with funk, RnB, and soul gives this
