Kev the Wandering Kiwi back for 2014 walks

Kev the Wandering Kiwi is back for 2014 and looking to join families in exploring our regional parks.

There are four, free four guided walks with Kev, which are suitable for people of all ages and fitness. This year the Councils have expanded the walks to include fun activities, which will range from tug-o-war and sack races, to a scavenger hunt and BBQ.

All walks starts at 10.30am every Thursday in January and take about one and a half hours to complete.

Each child will receive a certificate for participating in the walk and there will be spot prizes and giveaways at each event.

Join Kev for the first walk this Thursday. Our walk at Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt is accessible and on reasonably flat terrain so those with mobility vehicles are encouraged to come along.

This walk is also part of Sport Wellington’s ‘Buggy Walk’ programme so bring the buggies, the kids and the grandparents! Participants can enjoy a free coffee courtesy of Caffe L’affare after every walk.
