Tauranga Eastern Link – traffic changes on State Highway 2

Tauranga Eastern Link – traffic changes on State Highway 2 between Te Maunga and Bruce Road

The NZ Transport Agency would like to advise motorists that as part of the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) project, there will be traffic changes taking place along State Highway 2 (SH2), from the Te Maunga roundabout through to Bruce Road.

From the afternoon of Sunday 15 December through to early morning on Monday 16 December there will be temporary traffic management in place on SH2 in the vicinity of the Te Maunga roundabout.

From Monday morning the slip lane at Te Maunga will be reopened and motorists travelling along SH2 towards Domain Road will be travelling on the new southbound lanes, another new section of the TEL.

Motorists are asked to take extra care when driving through the new road layout on Monday morning and to expect delays as everyone adjusts to the changes.

This work is weather dependent, and if wet, the work will be undertaken on the next suitable day.

The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and ongoing co-operation while construction on the TEL continues.

Keep up-to-date with developments at www.nzta.govt.nz/tel.
