Black Cottage Cafe and Nicky White Proudly Present: Black & Teal 2014
Black Cottage Cafe and Nicky White - Precision Real Estate are proud to present the “Black & Teal 2014” charity event.
We are delighted to support a very worthy cause, the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation (NZGCF), as our chosen charity for this event. The recently opened Black Cottage Cafe is an up-market eatery located in semi-rural Coatesville; this is the rural dining experience offering fresh seasonal fare with a provincial twist. The Black Cottage Cafe is the brainchild of award winning cafe owners Banu and Sulo Kaynarcali. Their Mairangi Bay based cafe Paper Moon won 2012’s New Zealand Cafe of the Year. Amazingly, Black Cottage Cafe, which only begun operating in 2013, is a finalist for the 2013 New Zealand Cafe of the Year.

The purpose of the evening is two-fold: to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of gynaecological cancer, and to raise funds for the NZGCF to continue its great work. The funds from this event will be used to develop the Foundation’s national community education programme the first of its kind in New Zealand and a big step in women’s health in this country.
Time: 6:30pm - till late
The evening will commence with two glasses of complimentary bubbles on arrival served with canapés, followed by entertainment by a well known artist, DJ, goodie bag, fashion and jewellery show and the opportunity to bid on our live auction including high end jewellery pieces by Orsini Fine Jewellery.
About The New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation
The New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation was created in 2007 with a mission ‘to inform and educate our community about all gynaecological cancers with the aim of increasing the survival of New Zealand women’. The need for NZGCF arose out of a realisation that whilst one woman dies every day from a gynaecological cancer in New Zealand, it was an area where there was little information, funding, or support for women going through this journey, and for their families. The charity’s goal was to fill this gap, and over the past six years they have become the leading charity in this sector. The NZGCF receive no government funding and it punches above its weight in terms of what it does with limited resources.
