Golfers swing into action for charity

Hutt City Council is calling for corporate teams to participate in the annual Charity Golf Tournament jointly sponsored by DLA Phillips Fox.

New Zealand’s top professional golfer and business woman in her own right, Lynette Brooky, will be taking part in the event and will be offering a free coaching clinic between 10am-11am prior to registration.

The tournament takes place annually at a one of Hutt City’s four golf courses – the venue this year is Manor Park Golf Club on Friday 29 November.

The tournament kicks off with a shot-gun start at midday with refreshments provided on course.

The money raised will go to Naenae Primary School for the installation of solar panels to reduce their increasing electricity costs and in turn help them to raise funds for computers at the school.

“Don’t miss the opportunity to enter a team or sponsor a hole, this event is a chance to get in behind a fantastic charity event and raise much needed funds for a great cause” says Tony Stallinger, CEO.

Enter a team or sponsor a hole! There will be prizes awarded and an auction held at the end of the day.
