What’s cooking at the Show

The Electrolux Kitchen in the Food & Wine NZ Pavilion at this year’s Canterbury A&P Show will feature demonstrations from top New Zealand chefs, for the budding gourmet, and local cooks, for some inspiration for hearty at home meals.

The culinary clever chefs from The Selwyn Food and Wine Trail will demonstrate some of their favourite dishes with a focus on using local Selwyn produce to create simple, yet delicious dishes complemented by Selwyn Food and Wine Trail wines. Chefs include Mark MacCracken from Rossendale and Lauren Carmichael from Langdale Vineyard Restaurant. The Selwyn Food and Wine Trail was recently named the best wine tourism service in the South Island Best of Wine Tourism Awards.

Top NZ foodie and Ambassador Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand, Julie Biuso, will be demonstrating recipes from her 16th cookbook which was released in October. The Electrolux Kitchen will also include demonstrations from local ladies from Rural Women NZ, a charitable, membership-based organisation which supports people in rural communities through opportunities, advocacy and connections.
