3 November, 2013

The editor of a Kiwi good news website is asking people to master the powers of positive thought to create happier communities and a healthier environment.

Www.happyzine.co.nz founder Charlotte Squire, who has posted thousands of good news articles on her website over the last six years, is offering a 30 day online course called the 'Month of Change'. She says it's the opportunity for a group of people to connect “for a few minutes” daily, online, and work towards their goals using "some awesome" positive techniques.

Squire says she's personally practiced positive thinking for years and has experience “amazing changes” in her professional and personal life.

“Positive attitude is a choice, and you have to keep choosing it, but it's worth it. Every day I meet and hear from people who are making a positive difference for their communities and the planet here in New Zealand. They come from all sectors of this country, everyone from farmers to politicians to business people. They make good stuff happen,” she said.

Squire says she will introduce ten positive thinking techniques on the course including “gratitude” also “positive focus” and “visualisation.”

She says she's “deeply excited” about the potential of more people using positive focus and gratitude to “make a difference for the planet.”

“Environmentalism needs to be about what's possible, not about what's wrong. We already know. People will do amazing things when they're inspired, when they're focusing on the possibility,” she said.

The Happyzine Month of Change launches Monday 4th of November.  People can register until 5pm Tuesday 5th November.
