ShelterBox invites you to put your best foot forward

Click for big version.
ShelterBox is inviting schools, youth groups, workplaces and Rotary clubs to take part in an exciting international event, Socks 4 Syria. The idea is simple. Ask everyone to show their silly, odd or colourful socks for a day and bring in a donation. It’s a great way to bring people together whilst raising vitally needed funds for ShelterBox’s Syria Refugee Appeal.
When it comes to helping Syria’s millions of refugees, disaster aid charity ShelterBox is asking you to put your best foot forward – indeed your best-dressed feet forward – in a fun fundraising day that will raise a smile in any school, club, office or workplace.
Take a walk on the wild side, and show everyone the most shocking or show-off pair in your sock drawer. You have nothing to lose but your inhibitions and $2.
It’s so easy to take part. Simply, click on ‘Socks 4 Syria’ link on our website homepage to get started. Choose your own Socks 4 Syria date, and the easy to use guide will walk you through everything you need to do to make your day a success! You can also download the posters and other fundraising materials listed in the guide.
If you need a leg-up, we also have an experienced fundraising team on hand that would be delighted to hear from you and can provide advice and guidance on your Socks 4 Syria day. Just contact us at: info@shelterbox.org
ShelterBox New Zealand Event organiser Irene Mosley says, ‘Socks 4 Syria is a great way to raise money for families who don’t have much to smile about at present. Our silly behavior and donations can be turned into vital shelter and equipment, letting these struggling families know that the world hasn’t abandoned them. I do hope you can set up your own Socks 4 Syria event – I can assure you it will be easy, fun and very worthwhile.’
ShelterBox’s Syria Refugee Appeal is aiming to help up to 5,000 more refugee families each year.
