Wind Update: Number of weather incidents in North decreases

Event: The number of weather incidents the New Zealand Fire Service are attending in the Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions due to high winds has decreased. Since 11 o'clock this morning, the New Zealand Fire Service has attended fifty-one incidents across the Auckland region, nineteen incidents in the Waikato region, and seventeen incidents in the Bay of Plenty region.

The New Zealand Fire Service Northern Communications Centre is not aware of any injuries to members of the public associated with these weather incidents.

Resources being used: One appliance is currently in attendance at an incident in the Auckland Region, two appliances are an incident in the Waikato region and no appliances are at incidents in the Bay of Plenty region.
