Nelson has a new Mayor
Progress results put sitting Councillor Rachel Reese taking the seat with 1429 votes ahead of first term Mayor Aldo
Miccio.
The Mayoral results are:
· Rachel Reese 7477 votes
· Aldo Miccio (sitting) 6048 votes
· Brian McGurk 3018 votes
· Richard Osmaston 308 votes
Mayor Miccio was not standing for Council at large.
The progress results for the 12 Councillors will be released as soon as candidates have been informed.
There has been a 48.74% voter return in Nelson compared with 52.20% in 2010.
