A range of new consultants and services are being sought as planning ramps up for priority anchor projects in central Christchurch.
These latest steps in the procurement process are being managed by the Christchurch Central Development Unit (CCDU) as part of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan.
Convention Centre Precinct
Expressions of Interest (EOI) will be sought in New Zealand and overseas for Operator Services for the Convention Centre, with the EOI document expected to be up on the GETS (Government Electronic Tenders Service) website early this month.
The chosen operator will advise the CCDU and work with the existing preferred consortia on the master planning and development of the Convention Centre Precinct, and may carry through to operate the finished centre.
Bus Interchange
A Request for Proposal
(RFP) has also been issued on the GETS website for
Multi-Disciplinary Design Consultancy Services for the Bus
Interchange.
Responses to the RFP are due by 22
October.
The Margaret Mahy Amazing Place playground
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are being
sought via the GETS website from specialised playground
equipment design, manufacturing and installation contractors
interested in participating in the development of the
playground in the East Frame.
Responses to the EOI are
due by 25 October.
Metro Sports Facility
After a procurement process, it is the intent of the CCDU to enter into contracts with Davis Langdon for both Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
The CCDU has been meeting with key stakeholders and interested parties to introduce the project team and outline the next steps for the project. Workshops are due to be held with stakeholders over the coming weeks.
