Tens of thousands of voting packs for this year’s Northland local body elections will begin turning up in mailboxes around the region shortly. (subs: from Friday 20 Sept)
Vibeke Wright, Electoral Official for the Northland Regional Council, says about 100,600 postal voting packs for the Saturday 12 October elections are due to be distributed to registered electors between Friday 20 and Wednesday 25 September.

She says 32 people have been nominated to contest the nine seats available on a new look Northland Regional Council at this year’s local body elections.
