Wellington Zoo celebrating Conservation Week with Do at the Zoo
Wellington Zoo is celebrating Conservation Week with Do at the Zoo this Sunday 15 September.
Do at the Zoo is a fun, activity-filled day for the whole family that aims to educate the community about conservation and celebrate the various ways we can work together for wildlife – reflecting on the national theme of ‘What’s your whānau doing?’
Visitors will have the opportunity to get creative with recycled materials and learn how to make seed bombs for the garden.
Other highlights of the day will include unique animal talks, conservation-themed games, face-painting, stilt walkers, giveaways from ZM and Tip Top, and special guest performances from Zappo the Magician and the Junk Monsters.
Entry on the day is $2 for kids 14 and under, with proceeds going to the Wellington Zoo Conservation Fund.
Where: Wellington Zoo, 200 Daniell Street, Newtown
When: Sunday 15 September, 9:30-5
