Drury South industrial development proposal approved
The private plan change to rezone 361 hectares of rural and quarry land for a mix of industrial and business development, as well as Auckland Council's proposed extension of the metropolitan urban limit, has been approved by a panel of independent hearing commissioners.
The decision means that the Rural Urban Boundary in the proposed Unitary Plan for notification can be moved to include the private plan change area.
The district plan change application was made by Stevenson Group Ltd.
The hearing was held in late June and early July. The key issues concerned storm water management and infrastructure provision. The decision addresses and responds to concerns raised in submissions and at the hearing.
The detailed documentation regarding the specific plan change provisions as amended by the decision are being prepared for circulation to the submitters and will be placed on the council website.
