Jetstar pilots fly in to CTC open day 7
September
Hamilton, New Zealand – Two Jetstar pilots, both former CTC Aviation Training (NZ) Limited instructors, will provide personal insights relating to their aviation careers at the flight training organisation’s 7 September open day.
The open day will take place from 10am-4pm at CTC’s crew training centre adjacent to Hamilton Airport.
“We’re fortunate to have two Jetstar pilots joining us at our open day. Aspiring pilots will get the chance to speak with these two men who have gone on to have successful aviation careers.
“Jetstar First Officers, Jason Franklin and Andrew Tuioti, have first-hand knowledge of what it’s like to train with CTC as they both were CTC flight instructors. They will provide guests with unique insights into the challenges of our CTC Wings programme as well as the rewards of an aviation career,” explained Julian So, CTC Aviation Training (NZ) Limited Acting Managing Director.
More than three years ago, CTC began training pilots for Jetstar through its CTC Wings programme. Twenty-six (26) CTC Wings graduates and former CTC instructors are now flying across the Tasman with the airline and six (6) others will join them in a few months’ time.
CTC Wings is a unique, comprehensive, training and career development programme. Graduates have gone on to employment with a range of CTC airline clients, including: the Jetstar Group, British Airways, Dragonair, easyJet, Monarch Airlines, Oman Air, Royal Brunei Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines and more.
CTC open day attendees will receive information about CTC’s new Qatar Wings programme, which is open to New Zealanders to apply and provides the opportunity to become a pilot for Qatar Airways – a world-leading, five-star airline.
Open day attendees will tour the extensive training facilities, view the company’s aircraft fleet up-close, speak with cadets and flight instructors and hear about employment opportunities with CTC’s partner airlines.
CTC’s open day is split into two sessions – morning and afternoon - allowing attendees to choose between the two. Each session includes a prize draw where attendees can win either a flight in a DA42 aircraft or a chance to try out a flight simulator.
Those interested in attending CTC’s open day on 7 September must register ahead of time via the website www.ctcwings.com/nz or by phoning 07 843 9116.
