F.A.W.C! Tickets are selling fast

Tickets to F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic, Hawke’s Bay are proving in hot demand after being released to pre-sale today.

Subscribers to the F.A.W.C! database (FAWCers) were given access to ticket sales from 9am today and have taken full advantage to the opportunity with seven events selling out before the close of business.

Deliciosa Tapas and Wine set the record with all three of their F.A.W.C! events selling out within 34 minutes. Sarah Watson, Owner of Deliciosa said “she was thrilled to be the first cab off the rank”

A very clear favourite was the “Black Barn Beach Front Dinner with Annabel Langbein. Held at The White House at Waimarama, guests will enjoy an evening with Annabel, feasting on a three course menu created by her and prepared by Terry Lowe, Head Chef from Black Barn Bistro. (Tickets $150 per person)

The NZ Sothebys International Realty ‘Chefs in Homes” series was also top of people’s wish list with both the Craggy Range and Trinity Hill dinners selling out at $250 per person.

Trinity Hill CEO Michael Henley said “we expected a keen level of interest in our Chefs in Homes event given we are hosting such a high caliber chef as Electrolux Ambassador Simon Wright from the French Café ,but to sell out on the first day is fantastic. We are really looking forward to showcasing Trinity Hill premium wines alongside Simon’s menu to create a wonderful food and wine experience which really is what F.A.W.C! is all about”

Elephant Hill Winery “Six Wines Six Plates” was also a sell-out with diners snapping up tickets to enjoy six tasting plates matched to Elephant Hill wines for $30.

Annie Dundas, General Manager from Hawke’s Bay Tourism said they were thrilled with the response from today’s pre-sale. “There are so many great events on offer and we really encourage people to book early so they don’t miss out. We are also delighted with the number of ticket sales coming from out of town locations”

The pre-sale will run for the rest of the weekend with tickets available for general sale on Monday August 26th, 9am.
