Fatal Car Crash

At 11:55am today, emergency services responded to a motor-vehicle crash, on State Highway 25, Waitakaruru.
A motor-vehicle has rolled and ended upside down, in a roadside water canal.
The sole female occupant/driver has sustained a fatal injury at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit are in attendence and will be investigating the crash.
State Highway 25 will be closed until further notice and diversion are in place at the following locations.
(1) SH25 & Canal East Road.
(2) SH25 & Pouarua Road.
Police advise all motorist to avoid the area and to take an alternative route.
