Proposed District-wide Library Review - Draft Terms of Reference For Comment  - Media Advisory 15 August 2013
The community is being asked to comment on a draft Terms of Reference for a proposed review of library services in the Queenstown Lakes District, QLDC general manager operations Ruth Stokes said.
“The draft Terms of Reference have been developed in conjunction with Council also seeking to appoint a suitably qualified independent  consultant to lead the review,” Ms Stokes said.  The scope of the proposed review was to consider all aspects of library services across the entire district.
“This is about understanding our existing services, potential future opportunities and the expectation of our communities,” Ms Stokes said. Included in the proposal was a public forum adopting the ‘Shaping Our Future’ model and a survey to enable widespread engagement.
The Draft Terms of Reference and details on how to comment are now  available at www.qldc.govt.nz .Comment is being sought on the draft until Friday 30 August 2013.
