MEDIA RELEASE - NAPIER POLICE
Hawkes Bay Police are investigating an attack on a 21 year old female jogger who was attacked, struck on the head, and left unconscious whilst jogging through Pirimai Park Napier between 6.00 and 6.15 pm on 14 August 2013.
The victim was taken to the Hawkes Bay Hospital where she is being treated for a head injury.
Police would like to hear from any person who may have been in the vicinity of the park which borders Trinity Crescent between 5.30 and 6.30 pm. They would also like to hear from anyone who saw any person in the park or nearby streets during that same time.
Any information can be passed to the Hawkes Bay CIB either by ringing the Napier Criminal Investigation Branch on 831 0700 or through to Crime Stoppers Confidential Information Line 0800 555 111.
