Lotto Draw Live Cross from Queenstown For First Time In 17 Years
Lotto and Big Wednesday presenter Sonia Gray will be making modern Lotto history this weekend with the first live cross from Queenstown during a draw in 17 years.  Queenstown last played host to a live draw cross when former Lotto hosts Hillary Timmins and Grant Kereama attended the Winter Festival parade back in 1996.
The live cross will take place at 8pm on TV2 during Saturday’s draw and will capture some of the excitement and energy of the Audi Quattro Winter Games NZ.
Sonia Gray will announce the draw from the Memorial Centre in downtown Queenstown during the Parklife Invitational rail jam, crossing back to Jordan Vandermade in the studio in Auckland.  Sonia will be joined by Kiwi medal hopefuls Wanaka athlete, Adam Hall, reigning Winter Paralympic gold medallist and Rebecca Sinclair, representing New Zealand in Snowboard Half Pipe.  Lotto New Zealand’s Chief Executive, Wayne Pickup said: “It’s great to be back in Queenstown for a live cross after all this time and during such an exciting event for the city and for New Zealand as a whole.  We are really excited about it”.
Lotto NZ is sponsoring the two Games Villages, which are located in Earnslaw Park in Queenstown and on Ardmore Street in Wanaka, as well as supplying uniforms for the Games volunteers.  Throughout the 11-day duration of the Games, guests at the Lotto NZ Villages will be invited to enjoy refreshments and live entertainment in the glamorous Big Wednesday Luxury Lounge and the Powerball Garden Bar. Guests will also have the chance to win great prizes playing interactive games with the on-site Lotto ambassadors.  The Lotto NZ Villages will also be the venues for all Audi Quattro Winter Games NZ medal ceremonies.
