Fire at the Orakei Boardwalk
This morning at 7.30 am detectives from Glen innes Police attended a suspicious fire at the Orakei Boardwalk between Orakei rd and Manapu St, Meadowbank.
The Fire Brigade also attended and put out a fire. A number of planks had to be removed from the boardwalk to completely extinguish the fire.
There is now a large gap in the boardwalk and it is not safe for members of the public to use.
Coucil has been notified to properly close the boardwalk from further use.
