Police seek identity in assault enquiry

Christchurch Police investigating an assault outside Winnie Bagoes restaurant in the central city last month have released a security camera photo of a person they wish to speak to.
Police say they want to identify this male who was socialising in the Allen Street and Madras Street area in the early hours of Sunday 7 July.
He is described as a male Caucasian aged in his early 20s, of medium build and height.
He was wearing a distinctive black t-shirt with a white image on the front and a black baseball cap with white writing across the front.
Anyone with information about the identity of this person is asked to contact Senior Constable Toni Low on (03) 3637568, or Christchurch police on (03) 3637400.
Alternatively, to provide information anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 23-year old man suffered a broken jaw, broken nose, bruising and concussion after being struck by a bottle during the incident. He is reported to be recovering well.
