assault "
New Plymouth Police are still keen to hear from anyone that may have any
information relating to the abduction and sexual assault of a young woman in
Waitara on Thursday, 18 July.
Between 3:00am to 3:30am on the Thursday an 18-year-old woman was abducted by
a group of up to five men in a dark coloured, large four-door station
wagon.
The woman was abducted from outside an address on Cracroft Street, Waitara,
and taken towards Waitara beach and was sexually assaulted.
The woman managed to escape from the vehicle and ran to an address where she
received help from the residents.
Police want to hear from anyone that saw the vehicle described between 2:45am
and 3:30am in the Cracroft Street area.
