Kiwi Income Property Trust update – Wellington earthquake
Kiwi Income Property Trust advises that initial inspections indicate that no significant damage has been experienced following the recent earthquakes that have occurred in the Wellington region, including the 6.5 magnitude earthquake yesterday afternoon.
Holmes Consulting Group (“Holmes”), the Trust’s structural engineers for the seismic strengthening works underway at The Majestic Centre, undertook inspections of The Majestic Centre last night and have advised that they consider the building continues to be acceptable for occupation.
During the course of the week, Holmes will also undertake structural inspections of the Trust’s other Wellington properties, which from initial inspections appear to have sustained minor damage only.
Further updates on the outcome of the inspections will be provided as information becomes available.
