Get your skates on! Scoot on down!

The Press Scoot and Skate is back in town!

TV2 KidsFest 2013 brings back the popular Scoot and Skate event sponsored by The Press- so if you're into skates or scooters, or just want to have some fun, then this is an event not to miss!

Roll along to a scoot and skate session to suit your skills and age group: children aged 3 - 7 years can go to the 10am-11am session and those aged 8-13 hang out between 11am-1pm. It's free and you don't have to book - just turn up.

There are two events you can go to: Wednesday 24 July at Thomson Park, Marine Parade, New Brighton, or Thursday 25 July at Jellie Park, 158 Greers Road, Burnside.

“Each event is emceed by Nathan Bonner, aka 'Mulletman' on his long board and contortionist/entertainer Skye Broberg, a roller-derby expert,” says Christchurch City Council Events Production Team Manager Chloë Dear.

“There will be demonstrations, tips and tricks from expert Pro Scooter fiends, competitions and prizes such as an MGP scooter to give away along with wristbands and stickers, a bouncy castle, face-painting and more.

“And all that skating will lead to the munchies – so The Press is hosting a great sizzling smoking barbecue.”

Visit www.kidsfest.co.nz for more information on all 200+ TV2 KidsFest events. Listen to 92.1 MORE FM for cancellation notices.
